CMA®

The Certified Management Accountant (CMA) is offered by the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA). The advanced professional certification is specifically designed to measure the accounting and financial management skills that drive business performance. The CMA program has been designed to meet the evolving needs of business –today and tomorrow.

The CMA exam Testing Windows are:
  • January-February
  • May-June
  • September-October

REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Foundational knowledge of economics, basic statistics, and financial accounting
  • Two continuous years of professional experience
  •  
  • CMA Certification requirements:
    30 hours of CPE credits,  including two hours of ethics,  and annual IMA membership  are required to maintain  active status

EXAM FORMAT
  • Part 1: Financial Planning, Performance and Control : 4 hours – 100 multiple choice questions and two 30-minute essay questions
  • Part 2: Financial Decision Making: 4 hours – 100 multiple-choice questions and two 30-minute essay questions

EXAM FEES
  • To sit for the CMA exam you must first become a member of the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA)
  • You must also pay a one time Enrollment fee to start the CMA program
  • Finally, you have to pay the fee for the exam for each Part
